To add to the complexity, the as-built drawings we had on file were not accurate to the true construction of the existing structure because the original architect had improvised the design during construction. I used to spend (not hours, not days) weeks fighting wall cleanups in Revit and our designs changed so frequently we needed a quick and clean way to get complete drawings.
