The essence of my response via email: HVAC Zones are meant to combine spaces into larger more coherent collections for engineering purposes. Area plans could help document such things but then floor plans would be "ignorant" of what these kinds of "areas" are, no tagging possible, just "dumb text". Not ideal either. Aaron Maller.

From the readme documentation for what has been addressed with the service pack: Autodesk® Revit® Platform 2013 Enhancements. Improves export consistency of Space and Zone elements when multiple elements have the same name and number. Autodesk Revit 2013 UR1. Improves stability when Fixed Distance option for a divided path.

Ive been doing construction documents in Revit for the past three years and dont have any renderings to show from that time. in 2002 and am currently a member of AUGI. Revit Zone.
