A 2009 study commissioned by the State of Utah has identified 2,166 MW of geothermal potential existing with the state. In a major project milestone, the Clovis City Commission approved plugging in Tres Amigas to a $1.655-billion industrial revenue bond. These three new projects amount to over $1.25 billion in project investment.
