Illinois adds to ban on driving and cellphone usage

Illinois enacted two pieces of legislation on January, 1 2013 to reduce distractions caused by cellphone use while driving. Previously, Illinois law prohibited texting while driving for all vehicles, but cell phones were permitted. Voice activated use of cell phone was permitted prior to this change.
