Why assume that there is no value in creating a model of the MEP scope of work even if the architect doesnt use Revit? Modeling a project reveals more than doing one in 2D.

Im serving on the committee for the Revit Technology Conference - North America. Also, if you did a Zoom Fit, everything disappeared.

Once an as-built model is done you might want to archive a copy of the model just incase the design scope changes and you have to start all over again with a clean as-built. If I just imported a project and I cant seem to locate the imported model the first thing I do is setup my radar. Always Be Phase Aware In every project file your modeled components have a phase created and a phase demolished parameter whether you like it or not. If you place a model component in a view that is set to the New Construction phase (under View Properties), that component automatically gets placed in the New Construction phase.

No one else is going to be able to edit ANY modeled elements that are on that workset. or do a save to central and relenquish user-created worksets so other users can work on the model too.
