FingerCAD : FingerCAD is a CAD application for technical drawing with fingers assisted by computer. Through this application, the final design is saved and can be sent via e-mail or printed. It also contains formulas for steel design , swimming pool and parking area designs.

I created a video to describe what happens when Revit contours dont quite match up with the underlying cad file contours that were used to generate a toposurface. The first part of the video explains that the Site Settings usually dont match the contour interval settings of the cad source file. Book - Introducing Revit Architecture.

The task was to demolish a 1980s addition, restoring the building to its original design, and then adding our own additions. To add to the complexity, the as-built drawings we had on file were not accurate to the true construction of the existing structure because the original architect had improvised the design during construction.

Some food for thought: Could it (read that as "it will") be better to let the walls be modeled as they will be built (with dead spaces in between), rather than using in-place walls that simply mimic old methodologies, like CAD or Hand drawn lines filled with poche or hatching? We design traditional, high-end residential work.

Quite often we need to organize our plots for different submittal package sets (Schematic Design Presentation, Land Use Permit, Plan Check, Construction Admin, etc). We decided that we also wanted to be able to sort the sheets in our project browser (and our drawing lists) by Submittal Package. and check the category Drawing Sheets.
