You don’t need to be BIM literate to benefit from following my tips, not even a CAD user. Unless you already had a home office, you took something home from your usual office, to enable you to continue working. As in, Microsoft Office Word document. You are working from home, wherever that is. What were those ‘things’?

I really truly beleive that moving to a non object based Computer Tool like 2D CAD was one of the worst things our industry ever did. At least when we were drafting on paper (or whatever) a person really thought about what it was they were going to represent when that line was drawn, because no one wanted to redraw.

You can copy (via a Batch File process as mentioned earlier) the file to pass the office standard shortcuts to other workstations however. If you import cad details and the don't properly show the graphical quality you expected then you need to change the settings for the file you are actively using. A metric version is included too.

You will need to accept what comes with Revit or customize for your office use. Drafter drafting or engineer engineering? Schedules - Optimize them too for appearance, but also consider how you will now schedule considering Revits capabilities. Is your hardware up to it?
