If you are not checking out AutoDesk Labs site from time to time, you are missing out on some very interesting developments. CAD has been clicking along here for some time now, but there is an ever-increasing pressure to be able to deliver something more than the competition. We need confident CAD users who are fluent in 3 CAD languages. We have been using AutoCAD to draft. AutoCAD is best for drafting.

The other issue is when the data in the CAD file is small enough in extents but really far away from the files origin, according to the WCS which is all Revit really pays any attention to. I can have a relatively small project site survey but far from origin and end up with Revit using Auto - Center to Center to place it. 7:31 PM.

Well earlier this year I created a generic annotation component to callout "cameras" this came out of the need to identify photo locations on a site. From Reference other View you can choose either drafting views (good for site/existing condition photos) or any view saved as a "rendering" (image) in the project. Posted by.
