While many Architectural, Engineering and Construction firms use Bluebeam Revu to convert CAD to PDF, there’s an often overlooked capability that is as plain as the nose on your face. “Nowadays, I draw in Bluebeam equal amounts to sketching or CAD.” It’s sketching and creating floorplan illustrations.

If you create in AutoCAD, Solidworks or Microsoft Office you may need to publish your documents to PDF for distribution purposes. DWFs and large format, Microsoft office and CAD files all can be published to PDF for distribution. Why not let Bluebeam Q streamline your processes.

I really truly beleive that moving to a non object based Computer Tool like 2D CAD was one of the worst things our industry ever did. With 2D CAD we got the notion of "oh its easy to change". I simply cannot beleive how painful it is to manipulate "stuff" in 2D CAD versus an object modeler like Revit.

I can just about bet on any office running on very low efficiency because of the state of the working files. Having a CAD manager does not ensure you are safe, neither is an IT department. No CAD manual, book of procedures or list of policies will protect you. Don’t be smug. You may not see this, take my word for it!
