We used to complain that CAD drawings looked horrible and now that concept has nearly been forgotten. I used to spend (not hours, not days) weeks fighting wall cleanups in Revit and our designs changed so frequently we needed a quick and clean way to get complete drawings. Just draw a reference plane at the angle you want (and in the location you want for your section line) then place your section line adjacent to the reference plane. The task was to demolish a 1980s addition, restoring the building to its original design, and then adding our own additions. To add to the complexity, the as-built drawings we had on file were not accurate to the true construction of the existing structure because the original architect had improvised the design during construction.
