You just linked a developed Revit model into a new project file and you cant seem to find it. If I just imported a project and I cant seem to locate the imported model the first thing I do is setup my radar. Highlight these new elevations in your project browser and go to element properties. Always Be Phase Aware In every project file your modeled components have a phase created and a phase demolished parameter whether you like it or not. If you place a model component in a view that is set to the New Construction phase (under View Properties), that component automatically gets placed in the New Construction phase.

Do you ever accidentally drag a wall or other model object across the screen when you didnt intend to move it? Lets say you have a project with worksets enabled and the whole model is on Workset 1 by default. No one else is going to be able to edit ANY modeled elements that are on that workset. or do a save to central and relenquish user-created worksets so other users can work on the model too. Well, the easiest way to separate view specific content from model content in a view is to place a temporary filled region with a Solid Fill Pattern that covers the entire view (choose a neutral color). Ive attached an image of one of our projects exported From Revit Building to dwg. If you know photoshop, using this software is a snap. I uploaded Impression, exported my Revit project as a DWG and imported it into Impression. It loaded viewing the model from the bottom of the floor, under the building. David Duarte.

Some food for thought: Could it (read that as "it will") be better to let the walls be modeled as they will be built (with dead spaces in between), rather than using in-place walls that simply mimic old methodologies, like CAD or Hand drawn lines filled with poche or hatching? It is more suited to a model that is about graphics.

The survey needs to be a part of the Revit model or Revit wont consider it when exporting your site plan to DWG.
