DOT also plans to propose in a rulemaking scheduled to be issued for comment later this year to use the safety performance scores on its 7 CSA measures to basically equate to a carrier’s safety “fitness.” The proposed rule — the Safety Fitness Determination Rule (SFD) — is the final component of the CSA enforcement model.

Delete Sheets In Browser or Schedules. Rooms and areas can be deleted in model views like floor plans and ceiling plans. Revit warns us that they have been deleted from the model but they are still listed in schedules. To really delete them we have to open a schedule view and delete them there. Whadya think?

Autodesk has contacted me to help find Revit models of buildings in Philadelphia that firms would be willing to contribute for research under NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) conditions. This means that Autodesk would use the files internally, but that model data would not be released for public consumption.

Wall Floor Interaction and Linked Models. When we have architecture and structure in separate Revit models we end up with somewhat clumsy graphics in wall sections. This is more pronounced if the structural slab is in the structure model only. The issue is the same when interior walls are linked into a shell model.
