Exciting products and fresh directions

Cassell Construction Estimating

March finds the bid market slowing in many areas, but holding its own in a few areas. Job prices continue to plummet as marginal contracting firms fight for survival. However some of our clientele reports that it’s still possible to bid a job with some profit, and actually get awarded the job. Starting that project on time is often problematic however, as Owners and Developers report that bank funding remains inordinately tight.

Some Much-Kneeded Time Off

'My left knee hates me. We go back a long way together, and I thought we were past that little “episode”. Apparently not. My family is taking a ski trip for Spring Break. AIA improves, yet remains sluggish

PSMJ Resources

After January's historic low score, the AIA's Architecture Billings Index (ABI) improved by two points in February to 35.3, up from the 33.3 mark in January, but still pointing to a general lack of demand for design services. The new project inquiry score was 49.5, up from 43.5 in January. "Despite a higher score than last month, we are likely to see light demand for new construction projects through much of the year," said AIA Chief Economist Kermit Baker.

Unlike the others, I spent almost twenty minutes with him, enough time to come up with a reason to follow up next week.
