Construction death toll rises

Latest Health and Safety Executive (HSE) figures show that 51 workers lost their lives on construction project accidents in 2023/24, with the average number of deaths in the industry over the past two years ‘statistically significantly higher’ than the pre pandemic period of 2016 to 2019.
