By now, most of you have heard that privately-held A/E superfirm RTKL has been acquired by the Dutch engineering outfit ARCADIS. I believe that RTKL is only the first of many big US-based A/E superfirms that will soon be acquired by non-US interests. The Korte Company recently completed a $31 million tenant improvement project at Molasky Corporate Center, which is owned by The Molasky Group of Companies. Anchor tenants include Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) and Las Vegas Valley Water District’s (LVVWD) who have moved their headquarters into the building. Autodesk has released a content extension for Revit MEP. Download it here. Imperial and Metric are both available. This extension supposedly contains over 300 new families which appear to be almost exclusively mechanical. I counted 15 new electrical families. Well, it sure beats a stick in the eye, and maybe there is something in there that I really need.
