So any of the analysis tools in Revit using spaces will be wrong, as most of them use an average over the entire area, (CFM/SF, Average illumination levels/SF etc.).

Material Take Off with Revit. One of the larger features that was included with the Revit 9 release was material take offs. of materials that are used in our Revit designs. Needless to say, this is a huge part of green building. With this information we can also begin cost analysis & estimating directly from Revit.

The ABS interface greatly improves your ability to design, zone and control spaces in a building as opposed to manually typing this information into your HVAC calulation software. It can be exported from ABS (and Revit Systems) and imported into some HVAC software. The magic takes the form of a gbXML file that holds the design data.
